About St. Patrick's N.S.
St. Patrick’s NS is a small rural school in the picturesque village of Loch Gowna, Co. Cavan. The School opened as a three teacher school in 1967 and in 1998, it became a four teacher school and remains so to this day.
St. Patrick’s N.S. is a co-educational primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnois. The school aims to promote the full and harmonious development of all pupils: cognitive, intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and other people and promotes a Christian philosophy of life. There are six full time teachers, four mainstream teachers and two support teachers. We also have two full time special needs assistant employed in the school. The school caters for the full range of classes from Junior Infants to Sixth class. |
