About St. Patrick's N.S.
St. Patrick’s NS is a small rural school in the picturesque village of Loch Gowna, Co. Cavan. The School opened as a three teacher school in 1967 and in 1988, it became a four teacher school and remains so to this day.
St. Patrick’s N.S. is a co-educational primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnois. The school aims to promote the full and harmonious development of all pupils: cognitive, intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and other people and promotes a Christian philosophy of life. There are six full time teachers, including the principal, resource teacher, learning support teacher; and a special needs assistant employed in the school. The school caters for the full range of classes from Junior Infants to Sixth class. |
