Credit Union Table Quiz: Every year we enter a number of teams in the local credit union quiz. Our school has had great success in the local and chapter level credit union quiz.

Someone Like Me Competition: The Someone Like Me primary schools’ art competition organized is by the Department of Justice and Equality as a way of developing children’s understanding of disabilities and to help them celebrate the aspects that make them and their classmates unique. All classes take part in this worthwhile project each year and we have been selected as the Junior and Senior county winners award on many occasions.
Junior Entrepreneur Project: Every second year, 5th & 6th class pupils take part in the JEP programme, which gives pupils the opportunity to experience practical and real life business learning as part of their formative education
Football Coaching: The Cavan G.A.A. coaches attend the school twice yearly, and they take all classes for gaelic and/or hurling.
Swimming: We also arrange a four-week period of swimming lessons for pupils in 3rd and 4th class Longford Sports & Leisure Complex.
Cumann ns mBunscol: We participate in the Cumann na mBunscol boys and girls Gaelic football, hurling, camogie and rounders competitions for schools. During the year, Ms. Boyle trains the girls and boys football teams, Ms S. O’Reilly trains the hurling and camogie teams and Ms. Sheridan trains the rounders teams in the lead up to competitions.
FAI Soccer: Every year we take part in the FAI soccer tournament that takes place in Cootehill, and we have been county winners and Ulster runners-up in 2016 and 2017.
Athletics: Each year we participate in the County Cavan school relays and Cross County races
Christmas Activities: We alternate between a Christmas variety show in the local community centre and a carol service in The Church of the Holy Family. This year we celebrated our Christmas Carol Service on 18th December.
